Amy Sameck

Since 2000, I have balanced my home and work life, obtaining my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Florida, working with youth and families with an emphasis on substance use, managing a three-practice small business as payroll coordinator, and executive assistant, and in 2023 becoming an author and publisher of my own book. 

 

After a major life event recovering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, I pursued my love for writing and helping others share their stories. Fun fact: I authored a chapter in "The Truth About Finding Joy in the Darkness" and self-published the journal "The Reminiscence Project." This led to my greatest project, "The Hunt for My Smile," which was released on March 24, 2023. 

 

I have two teenage sons, Taylor and Jonah, and a pup named Megatron. My favorite vacation ever was to the British Virgin Islands and I envision living on a boat in the Caribbean or the mountains of North Carolina.
